On February 24, 2026, ASTHO hosted a webinar on behalf of the NARR on public health preparedness and response related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This session highlighted response operations to a radiological incident during a mass gathering. The session featured Dr. Ziad Kazzi, an emergency physician and medical toxicologist with internationally recognized expertise in poisoning and radiation toxicology.
