The questions and answers in this document are intended to help emergency planners prepare public communications prior to and during a radiological emergency. This document is designed to be worked into emergency response plans and standard operating procedures.
Based on the safety measures int he U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Protective Action Guide (PAG) Manual, this document is applicable to all types of radiological emergencies that may necessitate the implementation of a protective action.
